IT’S BACK! The Biggest Free Music Event in Malta!

The Isle of MTV, one of Europe’s biggest music festivals, returns to Malta for its 13th year (9th to 14th July). Headlining this year are Martin Garrix, Bebe Rexha, Ava Max and Wiley performing on the 9th July in the historical Il-Fosos square. This event is unmissable, especially when the tickets are free!

Continue the week with the Boat Party on the 11th July (Tickets are €35) which travels along the coastline of the magnificent Maltese islands.

Gianpula Fridays on the 12th July offers an ideal outdoor clubbing experience, this year featuring Rudimental. (Tickets are €10).

On the 13th July, IOMTV Medasia is excited to welcome international DJs M-22 for its Vegas inspired Pool Party. (Tickets are €15). Bring on the champagne!

The week finishes on the 14th July with the Café Del Mar Sunset Party featuring Martin Jensen, the DJ behind hits Solo Dance and Nobody ft. James Arthur. Café Del Mar is known for its beautiful infinity pool which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea (Tickets are €20).

Summer Fun with a Creative Flair!

Malta’s International Arts Festival (28th June- 14th July) showcases a variety of breathtaking performances, from Malta’s own Philharmonic Orchestra to a visually stunning underwater concert by Danish group AquaSonic. The festival offers virtuoso music performances, dance and visual installations all around the iconic city of Valletta.

Jazz up those Summer Nights!

Malta Jazz Festival (15th-20th July) takes to the streets of Valetta boasting an eclectic array of Maltese and International jazz artists. Stars include, Kenny Garrett a World renowned Saxophonist, the Grammy nominated Jazz vocalist Jazzmeia Horn and legendary drummer Omar Hakim who has played alongside Dire Straits, Daft Punk and David Bowie. Chucho Valdés, 6-time Grammy Award winner will also be performing on the Main Stage

Celebrating Summer with a Bang!

Throughout the summer (2nd June- 15th September), different villages in Malta take turn in celebrating their patron saints. Villages go all out in decorating their streets with lights and decorations. Each village offers an array of activities for five days before their final feast days, including fireworks and plenty of food.

The Biggest Arts & Culture Festival in Malta

Notte Bianca (5th October) is an annual night long celebration of art and culture in the city of Valetta. Museums and piazzas open up to the public to showcase their art collections and provide theatrical performances and restaurants and cafes stay open throughout the night with tables flooding into the streets. Festivities begin with live music and dancing, bringing the people of Malta together for another memorable night.

Delightfully Mediterranean

An annual festival on the historical island of Gozo, which celebrates over 7,000 years of Gozitan culture. Taking place in mid-autumn, the festival offers a variety of art exhibitions, opera, music concerts, archeological tours and food and drink events. There is no better way to immerse yourself into the spectacular culture of Gozo. The highlight of the festival will undoubtedly be the presentation of Giuseppe Verdi’s Il Trovatore (double representation on 24th and 26th October 2019).
